Short Bio

I earned my B.S. in Mathematics (Information and Computing Science) from Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU,中山大学) in 2025, recognized as an Outstanding Graduate(top 5%).

Research Interests

I am actively seeking a Research Assistant position. My primary research interests are in Mathematical Optimization and Statistics with their applications in data science and AI.

  • Mathematical Optimization: Non-convex optimization, Optimization in non-Euclidean Spaces

  • Mathematics of Data Science: Theory of Generative Models and Sampling, Optimal Transport

Research Experience

  • Research Intern, 2024 - now;

    • Supervised by Prof. Yunfei Yang (SYSU) and Prof. Zhiqiang Xu (MBZUAI);

    • Focusing on the convergence of Evolutionary Strategies on Riemannian Manifolds;

    • Analyzing the convergence of (1+1)-ES, a simple zeroth-order optimization method, under Riemannian manifold constraints from both theoretical and practical perspectives;

    • A manuscript is in preparation.

  • Research Intern, 2022 - 2023;

    • Supervised by Prof. Xiaobin Chang (School of Artificial Intelligence, SYSU);

    • Developed the Close Contact Detection and Tracking System via Surveillance Camera Network (基于监控摄像网络的密切接触者识别与跟踪定位系统);

    • Registered a Software Copyright for the system as a key research output (Registration No: 2023SR0350367);

    • Project part of National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program for College Students.
